Three SPIRE Hospitality Team Members Recognized as one of Hotel Management’s Forty over 40 in 2024

forty over 40 cover DALLAS, TX — February 26, 2024 – Hotel Management magazine announced today their Forty over 40 class, which includes three SPIRE Hospitality executives.

“Each member of our team is essential to our continued success and has contributed significantly to the achievement of the results we are renowned for in the industry”, said Dawna Comeaux, executive vice president and chief operating officer. “Team members like Dustin, Amanda, and Jeremy inspire me because they exemplify the SPIRE principles of PEOPLE, PURPOSE, and PASSION on a daily basis. I’m grateful that Hotel Management magazine is recognizing their achievements as one of Forty over 40.”

Dustin supports on-property social media and marketing initiatives for the Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams across the SPIRE Hospitality portfolio as our Corporate Social Media Manager. Dustin joined SPIRE Hospitality in 2021 with extensive experience in social media and marketing from his work with music superstars Shania Twain, Reba McEntire, and Grindr, one of the most popular social networking sites in the world.

Amanda Smith, area general manager for Holiday Inn & Suites Boston-Peabody and Holiday Inn Boston-Dedham Htl & Conference Center

Amanda began her career with SPIRE Hospitality in 2021 as Area Director of People and Culture of our three Boston hotels. She was promoted to General Manager of Holiday Inn & Suites Boston-Peabody in October of 2022. In her role as GM of our Peabody hotel, Amanda exhibited a strong ability to inspire and guide her team toward success. She consistently leads by example and fully embraces and strengthens SPIRE Hospitality’s culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. Amanda was promoted to Area General Manager in August of 2023.

“Amanda’s can-do attitude is contagious. She has a tremendous commitment to both her hotel and team.”, said Stephanie Box, SPIRE vp of operations. “Partnering with Amanda is a pleasure, and I am thrilled that Amanda is being recognized by Hotel Management for her accomplishments.”

Jeremy Fraize, assistant general manager for Topnotch Resort

As assistant general manager, Jeremy supports his team in daily operations, monitoring spending, building budgets for the rooms division, and directly engaging internal and external customers in a servant style leadership manner. Jeremy started at Topnotch in 2001 as the condo supervisor and have always worked for this operation in some capacity including time as a bellman/captain, night cleaning supervisor, assistant executive housekeeper, executive housekeeper, director of guest services, rooms manager and interm director of engineering and human resources.
