Richard Sandoval serves as the Senior Vice President of Strategic Development at Spire Hospitality, where he leads the expansion of the company’s managed portfolio and the evolution of its lifestyle hotel experience. With more than two decades of leadership in hospitality, Richard brings a nuanced understanding of third-party operations, with expertise in both independent and branded assets.

Richard’s leadership philosophy was shaped early as the youngest of eight children. This upbringing instilled a foundational belief that while collective success is the goal, individual accountability is the engine that drives a partnership forward. He carries this principle into every deal and management agreement, ensuring that collaboration, transparency, and results remain central to execution.

Before returning to Spire in his current role, Richard served as President of Welcome Group and spent a decade with Spire in various leadership roles, finishing as Vice President of Operations. His deep operational background allows him to approach strategic development not only as a dealmaker but also as a seasoned operator who understands the intricacies of the guest experience and owner ROI.
