David Altshuler

David Altshuler is SPIRE Hospitality’s Chief Financial Officer. Previously SPIRE’s VP of Accounting, he played an instrumental part in shaping some of the most effective business practices. His leadership during the challenges of the COVID era helped guide SPIRE with stability, foresight, and resilience.

David has gained a wealth of knowledge and experience over the past 30 years leading teams in public accounting (KPMG) and in the real estate industry, including more than 8 years with Pillar Hotels and Resorts. David is a certified public accountant, holds an accounting degree from the University of Houston and is known for his hands-on approach, deep industry knowledge, and ability to drive operational efficiencies through strategic technology integration.

David’s contributions have consistently strengthened SPIRE’s financial operations. Perhaps his greatest accomplishment comes from building an exceptional accounting team—one that embodies his values of accountability, communication, and collaboration.
