Roger Barrantes

For Roger Barrantes, uncovering a lifetime career in the hospitality and travel industries began over 25 years ago in San Jose, Costa Rica working at the Juan Santamaria International Airport with major international airlines. Following his relocation to San Diego, CA, Roger joined The Travel Company as a Sales Coach in 1996.  Shortly after, Roger joined the world’s leading travel partner; American Express Global Business Travel (AEGBT).

In 2004, Roger joined Hilton Worldwide and developed high-performance teams providing results for multiple Hilton Full-service brands in urban and resort destinations, in the US and internationally. In 2012, because of his commitment to deliver optimal performance he was recognized with the prestigious Hilton Worldwide Circle of Excellence – Director of Sales of the Year Award for United States, Latin America and the Caribbean.

Today, Roger continues his journey with SPIRE Hospitality as a Regional Director of Sales and Marketing – West Coast. His ability to develop high performing teams with purpose, combined with his analytical thinking and creative approach will continue to be the core for his leadership approach.

Some of Roger’s most memorable professional experiences have been in leadership, coaching and developing hospitality professionals in Sales, Marketing, Catering and Events. Roger’s most joyful moments are spent with his son Chase and daughter Riley who recently graduated and will be graduating respectively from the University of San Diego, CA.

SPIRE Trivia: Roger started riding motorcycles at age 13 and today you can find him on the weekends on HWY 101 or the canyons of San Diego County enjoying the warm weather and cool breeze on his Repsol 1000cc, F41 600cc or American Iron Horse Tejas – S&S 1820cc.
